Jesus answered and said to them, “Go and tell John the things which you hear and see: The blind see and the lame walk; the lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear; the dead are raised up and the poor have the gospel preached to them. And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.”

Our last eNews-letter sent out last week was a difficult one for us.

Since we have been here in Japan, we have not put any specific financial needs in our eNews-letters. We have put a link in the email where those interested could look and see what these needs might be.  We have not wanted to offend anyone.  We sincerely want this mission to be about the message and the people, not about money.  We also have had some response that people want to know what needs we are praying for.  This is a fine balance that we prayerfully pursue.

There are two main schools of thought regarding seeking God’s provision as missionaries.  The view of Hudson Taylor was to never ask anyone for anything, but just pray and see how God provides.  The other view is that if you don’t share your needs with your support network, then you are robbing God’s people of the blessing of participating in the ministry they already have said they want to be a part of.

So we ask you, as our fellow believers, what is your opinion?

Would you like to see specific areas of financial need in our eNews-letters, or, should we leave them as an external link to the website?

Please help us with your prayerful replies.  You are our ministry support and prayer covering.  We humbly seek your council. Email us with this link if you wish. (We have added the ability to make comments on our eNews displayed on the website as well.  Just look for the link at the bottom of the article.)

God bless you,

-John & Belinda McBade
