Just a quick update as to our status: Please forgive the “quick and terse” mailing, but there is a lot going on:
- Fuel is scarce
- They are shutting off the power for blackout periods
- Food supplie lines are getting worse
- We are scrambling with CRASH to respond to hughe amounts of communications and doing our best to coordinate operations
- Skype is not always working
- Phones are intermittiant
Please continue to pray as we desire to be effective for the kingdom of God here in Japan.
Please pray that God would continue to supply all needs for the people here in Japan.
“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:5
I am sure your first question is: “Are we ok?” Yes, we are fine. In our area there was no real damage or loss of life. We went through a strong and sustained shaking. Trains shut down, phones jammed and many people were stranded. Belinda and I spent the evening driving some of them to their homes. The aftershocks continue, but we are so thankful that God has protected us, and those we minister to.
For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers, making request if, by some means, now at last I may find a way in the will of God to come to you.
My question is; who in this picture is really the alien in a strange land?
“Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.”
We came to give and yet we have received so much joy and blessings! We want to share your blessings with you as we work together to further God’s kingdom in Japan.
